Waking Night Care Worker – Children & Young People

Rolling rota -3 shifts on, 3 off, followed by 2 shifts on, 2 off

Hours - 10pm ‘til 9am

Are you caring, patient, and passionate about supporting young people?

As a Waking Night Care Worker, you will provide consistent overnight support, ensuring each child’s safety, well‑being, and comfort in line with our policies and procedures. You’ll help maintain a secure, nurturing environment while responding to individual needs and promoting a sense of stability throughout the night.

What you’ll do

· Provide awake‑night supervision, ensuring the home remains safe and calm

· Work with the team to offer emotional and practical support

· Complete regular safety and security checks and ensure all children/young people are accounted for

· Support bedtime routines and help children/young people settle for the night

· Assist children/young people in the morning with waking and getting ready

· Create a supportive environment where every child/young person feels valued and listened to
